Welcome to Foyle Hospice - collection boxes

Foyle Hospice has a number of 'box collectors' who site and maintain collecting boxes in their particular area. The boxes are placed in shops, newsagents, banks, businesses, schools etc. and the collectors empty them on a regular basis. The money is counted and banked, the boxes are cleaned and relabelled and placed back in the venue for the next time. We also ensure that receipts are sent out to all box holders where possible.

Foyle Hospice also issue smaller 'loose change' boxes for individuals to keep in their own homes.

Small change is collected in these and the individual brings the box into the hospice, or one of the hospice shops, taking a new box in its place. We can also arrange for these boxes to be collected from peoples homes if necessary.

Each year monies generated through our ‘Collection Box’ scheme can amount to in excess of £200,000 – a truly magnificent return.
